Timberline Hospitalities 401(k) Plan:
Timberline Hospitalities is proud to offer interested employees a 401(k) Plan to invest extra money for retirement tax-deferred!
A 401 (k) plan is a retirement savings and investment plan designed to allow eligible employees to supplement any existing retirement and pension benefits by saving and investing before-tax dollars through voluntary salary deferral. Contributions and any earnings on contributions are tax-deferred until money is withdrawn. Distributions are usually taken at retirement when many participants are typically receiving less income, and may be in a lower income tax bracket than while working.
Who is eligible to enroll?
To enroll in the Plan, employees must meet the following criteria:
- Age 21 or older
- Completed 6 consecutive months of service
Eligible employees may enroll the first day of each quarter; January, April, July, and October.
How much is the employer contribution?
Timberline Hospitalities will match dollar for dollar up to 3% of included compensation. We will then contribute $.50 on the dollar up to 5% of included compensation.
Vesting
When am I vested in the Plan?
Vesting refers to the percentage of your account you are entitled to receive upon the occurrence of distributable events. The value of your contributions to the Plan and any earnings they generate are always 100% vested (including rollovers from previous employers.)
