General Manager |
Timberline Hospitalities, LLC, is seeking a dynamic individual to fulfill the role of General Manager for the brand new Candlewood Suites in Gillette, Wyoming. The Candlewood Suites is scheduled to open in late January 2009. Our 83 room extended stay hotel will be a great opportunity for someone who possesses strong leadership and sales skills. Gillette is a strong vibrant and exciting market and our Candlewood has the potential to be an award winning hotel. The position is available immediately and offers a very competitive salary, health benefits, 401K plan, and a generous annual bonus incentive
along with cell phone and fuel reimbursements. The most qualified candidate will have a strong hotel/hospitality background with solid track record in sales. Job Summary: This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a brand new extended stay 83-unit Candlewood Suites in Gillette, Wyoming. You will be responsible for the financial performance, operational results, service culture, quality management and staffing. We are also looking for a General Manager who will be available several months prior to opening to help select and hire staff, attend General Manager certification classes and franchise required training and assist corporate personel in pre-opening tasks and preparations.
Responsibilities:
1. The General Manager will report to a regional operations manager based in Casper, Wyoming. Daily responsibilities will include basic accounting work, people management, coordinating efforts of department supervisors, inspect rooms for quality, hold weekly and monthly service meetings, make sales calls, practice sound revenue management, meeting deadlines, preparing monthly owners reports, monitoring Smith Travel Star reports, maintaining excellent franchise service scores and quality inspections.
2. Superior financial results without sacrificing service and quality.
3. This person should be very good with numbers, have great leadership skills, manage with a positive attitude, be proactive, present a professional appearance and outlook. Prove great experience at managing people, developing talent and training.
Requirements: A degree in Hotel or business management is preferred; However 3-5 years of Hotel Management experience would qualifty. Extended stay management is a plus but not required.
Work Permit Needed? Applicants who do not already have legal permission to work in the United States will not be considered.

Guest Services Representative |
|
Job Summary: Responsible to perform sales and guest service functions related to guest registration, reservations, and revenue collections, in a friendly manner that will ensure guests receive a secure place to stay with friendly, attentive service.
Responsibilities:
1. Recognize and greet guests. Respond appropriately to information requests and complaints by guests.
2. Use courteous selling techniques to sell rooms, advance reservations, Franchise Frequent Stay Programs and Timberline’s Frequent Stay Program. Promote specified marketing programs, local attractions, and events.
3. Operate front desk office equipment such as: switchboard, copy machine, facsimile, cash drawer, Property Management System, calculator, reservation system, etc.
4. Check guests in, provide information, and make courtesy calls. Check guests out and offer assistance for future reservations, directions, etc.
5. Process and control room reservations.
6. Collect revenue from guests for room, phone, and purchases, etc.
7. Provide security for guests and the property by controlling room keys, verifying cash banks, making safe drops, prepare cash reports, follow credit card verifications procedures, and report suspicious activity by guests and others to the general manager.
8. Complete paperwork necessary for front desk operations (folios, credit card vouchers, cashier reports, room reports, etc.).
9. Operates the laundry processing equipment at a level of proficiency resulting in the acceptable level of cleanliness and supply. (Only at some locations)
10. Cleans the work area in and around the front desk and lobby.
11. Perform tasks assigned by property management (training other employees, assisting in other job areas, etc.)

Room Attendant |
|
Job Summary: Responsible to clean and prepare the property’s guest rooms for occupancy and public areas as assigned.
Responsibilities:
1. Clean and prepare guestroom for occupancy through proper application of company specified cleaning procedures.
2. Stock and/or maintain maid carts with specified products in required quantities to adequately clean assigned rooms.
3. Complete room attendant daily to correctly identify the status of each assigned room. Report any maintenance problems or product shortages.
4. Maintain security and safety of guests and property. Report any suspicious activity to the General Manager.
5. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or the General Manager (vacuuming corridors, cleaning public or employee areas, washing windows, checking rooms, training other employees, etc.)
6. Report all lost and found items to the Executive Housekeeper.
